Pennell Residence

The Pennell Beach house is located in an existing maritime forest just behind the beach and dunes on Kiawah Island, South Carolina.  Despite its location, the residence reflects the character of a house in Provence, France, while complementing the existing natural environment.

The walled garden is divided into several smaller spaces which showcase unique pieces of garden sculpture.  Outside the walled garden, an entry garden provides space for cars and an invitation to guest.  The landscape outside the walled garden is more natural and saves the existing environment.
